YOUNG EAGLES RESUMES AFTER 3 YEARS

CHAPTER 1230 YOUNG EAGLES PROGRAM FLIES 36

On June 18th our Chapter flew 36 Young Eagles.  A crew of 7 pilots, 3 ground crew and 14 registration and administrative members volunteered.  We had help from the Travis Civil Air Patrol cadets as well as several from the Tuskeegee airforce.  Following a pilots briefing at 7:00am, registration and announcements to the parents and future Young Eagles went well.  During 2022 we were able to fly several more days, all with no problems except for weather and lack of pilots.  Our next flight day is March 18, 2023.  We always need volunteers and pilots.  Please join us at our next meeting, always the 2nd Tuesday evening at the Nut Tree Airport Couny building.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The project was a joint effort between the Chesapeake Sport Pilot flight school, which is based at the airport, the airport, and The Ninety-Nines. Nine volunteers, assisted by another half dozen “behind the scenes” helpers completed the layout and painting in just under six hours using a traditional 12-point pattern.
